Global Director of Digital Marketplaces

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Global Director of Digital Marketplaces will be responsible for setting and managing the online vision, strategy, and execution to drive the SKLZ business across key digital marketplaces throughout the world.  He/She will lead and manage the technologies, traffic generation, and revenue for both B2C and B2B business groups within the United States. This includes SKLZ.com, Amazon, EBAY type marketplace accounts. This person will manage the P&L for US online marketplaces.

 

Reporting to the CEO and supporting the domestic online marketplaces and key international distribution teams/orgs, this person’s success will be measured on revenue growth, category growth, and direct response ROI for the SKLZ, Sport-Brella, and Pro Mini Hoop brands. This person must collaborate with other SKLZ Marketplace leaders to oversee an integrated and segmented holistic marketplace.

 

This person must have a firm understanding of the changes taking place across online and offline retail marketplaces and the nuances within each key region across the world. Strong technical, sales, and digital merchandising acumen will be necessary to support the aggressive growth forecasted with digital marketplaces and B2B teams.

 

As a thought leader on how to best create omni-channel and digital marketplace experiences, the Global Sr. Director will work closely with Brand Marketing to develop the best creative assets to support omni-channel experiences. He/she will also work closely with Product Development, Category Management, and Supply Chain to identify and products opportunities within marketplaces.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·       Drive domestic teams and international distributors in the areas of eCommerce development and optimization, Merchandising, Digital Marketing/Direct Response, and Analytics

·       Lead and drive strategy, teams, and tactics to rapidly grow global US online marketplace revenues with direct P&L management

·       Use intimate knowledge of technology products, eCommerce optimization, advertising efficiency and ROI, to streamline marketing and promotional planning processes and executions

·       Lead and oversee team/vendor supporting digital demand generation of search engine marketing to drive profitable traffic to websites and marketplaces

·       Lead and oversee all search engine optimization tactics for organic traffic growth to websites and marketplaces

·       Develop innovative strategies to continue evolution of the brand, traffic sources, sales and awareness, and brand presence

·       Manage and develop a team of motivated and experienced marketing leaders

·       Develop and manage the marketing budget and calendar

·       Develop and manage inventory forecasting for all US digital marketplaces

·       Manage outside development, media, and demand generation agencies

·       Develop and manage the technology and experience for US B2B online ordering

·       Identify opportunities and optimize the B2B portals for teams, coaches and SKLZFit program

·       Manage online analytics to report business performance, key changes, customer lifetime value metrics, and performance opportunities back into the Marketing or relevant teams within the organization

·       Drive culture and ensure a positive work environment 

 

PREFERRED:

Experience with Demandware / Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a must
Revenue leadership via Digital Sales and Amazon account management experience
Experience marketing on Vendor Central (3P) and Seller Central (1P) on Amazon is preferred
5+ years with marketing personalization preferred
5+ years experience with marketing automation
